Stereotaxy
Leksell System - is the leading cartesian co-ordinate based stereotactic frame system. It is a simply elegant system that is supported by a full range of imaging accessories and ancillary instruments. The use of stereotaxy systems in functional neurosurgery remains the standard of care, because the delivery of lesioning and stimulating electrodes to targets deep in the brain requires the precision and fine control of a stereotactic frame.
Elekta, the manufactures of the Leksell System, also developed the Gamma Knife, which is the gold standard in non-invasive stereotactic radiosurgery.
AdTech Disposable Biopsy Needles – a range of disposable but highly engineered precision needles for taking small lesion biopsies from inside the brain. Guided usually by a stereotactic frame such as the Leksell system, the needles contain a small cutting window and are calibrated to offer high levels of precision in this neurosurgical procedure. The needles are sterile and come in three different lengths.
